How hard is installation?
Easier than you'd think. Connect the red wire to your vehicle's 12V constant power (usually the battery positive terminal) and the black wire to ground. If you're comfortable using jumper cables, you can do this yourself in about 15 minutes.

How fast are location updates?
Up to 5-second updates—fast enough for real-time monitoring of routes and driver behavior.
Will this drain my car battery?
No. It draws minimal current (similar to your car's clock or alarm system) and won't drain a healthy battery, even if the vehicle sits for weeks.
What vehicles does this work with?
Any vehicle with an 8V to 32V electrical system—cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs, boats, RVs, heavy equipment. It's not limited to vehicles with OBD ports.
Does this give me engine diagnostics or fuel levels?

The physical tracker is small, compact, and fits my application well. The power leads could stand to be a bit longer to avoid adding length during installation. The packaging did not include any installation or activation information. I was left with searching for info online. Also, when looking for a phone app, there was no clue that Hapn GPS was associated with Spytec GPS. Once I stumbled onto the spytec website, this became more clear and I could get the Hapn app. After spending an hour or so on the website, the level of tracker detail appears to be adequate. I expect to have a learning curve ahead of me for printing reports and collecting data points, etc. I have not spent time on the Hapn App yet, so my learning curve continues.

Subscription is well priced, performance mode is faster than most all other competitors, cell communication is consistent and accurate, easy to conceal the device as long as at least one side of the area is non-metal, and you never need to worry about charging the device battery. Hardwired GPS Tracker The tracker was easy to install and gets a good signal even with it hidden up inside the dashboard. The user interface was easy to set up and configure and has been working well so far.
Great Tracker Spytec GPS have worked out well for me. I have owned them around 4 or 5 years. I started with one now I have several. They give me a piece of mind when I am away from the jobsite knowing my assets are still on site.
When I hooked up the hardwired gps tracker it was not functioning properly and I couldn’t find a way to reboot the tracker. Your support team stuck with me till I figured out that after I activated the tracker I had to disconnect and reconnect to reboot it. It popped up an began working fine. Thank your support team for sticking with me to make sure we got it going.
Tracker While the tracker is great, we have had to get rid of the car as our parent's need for care has increased. Spytecgps was great and refunded our money.
As of 7:15 pm 10/2/19 the SpyTecGPS team has yet to get my unit to work. The last thing they told me was that my Unit number did not exist in a data base.

Stealth I've had a plug in tracker for a few years and had great success but after buying my new Ford Raptor I decided to have a hardwired unit installed. I will leave the plug in GPS in the truck as a decoy. Best protection out there.
XT 2150 I just had the product installed on my teenage sons car. Initially getting it to track was difficult and required a lot of emails between customer service and myself, but customer service was there throughout the process. This is by far the best customer service I have ever experienced. Once they were able to get the product tracking. Which did not take them long to do. The accuracy is phenomenal. I have been using the product now for two days and no problems so far. Loving the product and if something goes wrong I know customer service is there. Special thanks to customer service for hand guiding me through this a entire set up process and getting it initialized. Thank you for your time.

Works great
So Far, So Good Was using an iPhone app for similar purposes but the quality of updates from the phone was spotty, plus we all know you can leave a phone anywhere, and get in a vehicle and drive. So, moved to this as a secondary approach. Thus far the unit seems to be very accurate and I am pleased. I do with that they had an APP to use on the phone instead of a mobile website, but that is a small issue and the website seems to work well.
